Hamilton Chrono-Matic – Reference 11002-3

The Hamilton Chrono-Matic ref. 11002-3 is a standout example from the golden era of chronograph innovation. Part of the historic Chrono-Matic project—one of the first automatic chronograph developments—this vintage timepiece captures bold 1970s styling and groundbreaking mechanical engineering in a collectible format.

Case:
The watch features a 36,5mm stainless steel case with a crown positioned at 9 o’clock and pump-style chronograph pushers on the right. The case is completed with a solid screw-down back and a domed acrylic crystal.

Dial:
This model showcases a blue dial with contrasting white chronograph subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock. A date window is positioned at 6 o’clock, maintaining symmetry and readability.

Movement:
At the heart of the 11002-3 is the legendary Caliber 11, one of the world’s first automatic chronograph movements, jointly developed by Hamilton-Buren, Heuer, Breitling, and Dubois Dépraz. It operates at 19,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The movement features an integrated micro-rotor design and flyback chronograph architecture.

Strap/Bracelet:
The watch comes with its original falctory stainless steel bracelet.

Water Resistance:
Due to its vintage construction, this watch is not water-resistant by modern standards and should be kept away from water exposure.

Condition:
