Rolex Datejust 36 – Ref. 16014 | Roman “Panna” Dial

A particularly attractive variation of the classic Rolex Datejust, this ref. 16014 features a warm Panna / cream dial with applied Roman numeral hour markers, an 18kt white-gold fluted bezel and the traditional stainless-steel Jubilee bracelet.

The warm ivory tone of the dial gives this example a distinctive vintage character while retaining the elegant proportions and understated appearance of the classic 36 mm Datejust.

Case

The stainless-steel Oyster case measures 36 mm in diameter and is fitted with a classic 18kt white-gold fluted bezel.

The dial is protected by an acrylic crystal incorporating Rolex’s characteristic Cyclops magnifier over the date aperture at 3 o’clock.

Dial

The standout feature of this example is its beautiful Panna / cream dial, displaying a warm ivory tone that contrasts elegantly with the polished metal details.

The hours are indicated by applied Roman numeral markers, complemented by small tritium luminous plots positioned around the outer minute track.

Movement

The watch is powered by the automatic Rolex calibre 3035, the chronometer-certified movement used in this generation of Datejust.

The calibre features 27 jewels, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides approximately 42 hours of power reserve.

One of the most important developments introduced with the calibre 3035 was the quick-set date function, allowing the date to be adjusted independently from the hour and minute hands. The movement also features stop-seconds functionality for precise time setting.

Bracelet

Fitted with a stainless-steel Rolex Jubilee bracelet with folding clasp.

Condition

Very nice overall vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age. No service history available.
