Rolex Day-Date 36 \u2013 Ref. 1802<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Rolex Day-Date ref. 1802<\/strong> is a considerably less common variation of the classic vintage Day-Date, distinguished by its smooth polished bezel<\/strong> rather than the fluted bezel of the much more frequently encountered ref. 1803. This example is crafted in 18kt yellow gold<\/strong> and features an attractive silver dial with a Spanish-language day display, paired with an aftermarket brown leather strap.<\/p>\n

Case<\/h3>\n

The Oyster case is crafted from 18kt yellow gold<\/strong> and measures the traditional 36 mm in diameter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, the ref. 1802 features a smooth polished gold bezel<\/strong>. This is the defining characteristic separating it from the otherwise closely related ref. 1803 with its fluted bezel. A period-style acrylic crystal with Cyclops magnifier sits over the date at 3 o’clock.<\/p>\n

Dial<\/h3>\n

The white\u00a0dial<\/strong> features applied yellow-gold baton hour markers, matching gold hands and a central sweep seconds hand.<\/p>\n

The Day-Date’s signature calendar arrangement places the date at 3 o’clock<\/strong> and the fully spelled-out day at 12 o’clock<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The outer dial incorporates an attractive detailed minute\/seconds track with Arabic five-minute indications<\/strong>, giving this example a distinctly vintage appearance.<\/p>\n

Movement<\/h3>\n

The ref. 1802 was powered by Rolex’s automatic 15xx-series chronometer movement.<\/p>\n

Strap<\/h3>\n

Fitted with an aftermarket brown leather strap and aftermarket pin buckle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Condition<\/h3>\n

Very nice overall vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age. The movement runs accurately. In-house revision in August 2026.<\/p>\n
