Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Selfwinding– Ref. 15210BC.OO.A321CR.01

Introduced as part of the original Code 11.59 collection, the 15210BC.OO.A321CR.01 combines contemporary Audemars Piguet architecture with traditional haute horlogerie finishing. This version pairs an 18-carat white-gold case with a deep blue lacquered dial and matching blue alligator leather strap. The reference debuted with the collection in 2019.

Case

The highly architectural case is crafted from 18-carat white gold and measures 41 mm in diameter and approximately 10.7 mm thick. Its construction is particularly distinctive: a round bezel and caseback frame an octagonal middle case, a subtle reference to Audemars Piguet’s mastery of complex case design.

The dramatically openworked lugs are attached to the bezel while appearing to float alongside the case middle. A double-curved sapphire crystal creates additional depth when viewing the dial from different angles.

A sapphire display caseback reveals the movement. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres.

Dial

The striking blue lacquered dial is one of the defining features of this early Code 11.59 execution. It is complemented by 18-carat white-gold applied hour markers and hands, together with the distinctive Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12.

The Audemars Piguet signature is particularly noteworthy: rather than being conventionally printed or applied, the three-dimensional logo was produced using a galvanic growth process in 24-carat gold.

A discreet date aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock provides everyday practicality without significantly disturbing the symmetry of the dial.

Movement

Powered by the Audemars Piguet manufacture calibre 4302, an automatic movement developed for the launch of the Code 11.59 collection.

The calibre measures 32 mm in diameter and comprises 257 components and 32 jewels. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides a substantial 70-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback and features a 22-carat gold oscillating weight.

Functions include hours, minutes, central seconds and date.

Strap

Fitted with a hand-stitched blue “large square scale” alligator leather strap, beautifully matching the blue dial, and an original 18-carat white-gold Audemars Piguet pin buckle.

Condition

Very nice overall condition with light signs of wear. The movement runs accurately. No service history available.
