The IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar ref. IW502308 is one of the manufacture’s most celebrated complicated timepieces, combining the timeless elegance of the Portugieser collection with Kurt Klaus’ ingenious perpetual calendar mechanism. Housed in a stainless steel case, it offers exceptional horological sophistication in a versatile and understated package.<\/p>\n

Case<\/h3>\n

Crafted in stainless steel<\/strong>, the case measures 44.2 mm<\/strong> in diameter and approximately 15.5 mm<\/strong> in thickness. The polished surfaces, slim bezel, and elegantly curved lugs give the watch a refined presence despite its substantial size. A sapphire crystal and sapphire display caseback complete the design.<\/p>\n

Dial<\/h3>\n

The elegant silver-plated dial<\/strong> features applied Arabic numerals<\/strong> and polished feuille hands. Four harmoniously arranged subdials display the day<\/strong>, date<\/strong>, month<\/strong>, four-digit year<\/strong>, and the iconic perpetual moon phase<\/strong>, while the 7-day power reserve indicator<\/strong> at 3 o’clock completes the balanced layout. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz)<\/strong>, the movement is beautifully finished and visible through the sapphire display caseback.<\/p>\n
