NOMOS Glash\u00fctte Tangomat Date \u2013 Ref. 602<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The NOMOS Glash\u00fctte Tangomat Date ref. 602 combines the clean, Bauhaus-inspired design language of the Tangente with the convenience of an automatic manufacture movement and patented date mechanism<\/strong>. Slightly larger and more substantial than the classic Tangente, the Tangomat retains the characteristic minimalist aesthetic while offering greater wrist presence and everyday practicality.<\/p>\n

Case<\/h3>\n

Crafted in stainless steel<\/strong>, the case measures 38.3 mm<\/strong> in diameter and approximately 8.3 mm<\/strong> in thickness, with a 48 mm lug-to-lug<\/strong> measurement. The characteristic straight lugs and narrow bezel give the watch its unmistakable NOMOS profile.<\/p>\n

The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal<\/strong> and sapphire display caseback<\/strong>, allowing the beautifully finished movement to remain visible.<\/p>\n

Dial<\/h3>\n

The galvanized white silver-plated dial<\/strong> features the characteristic NOMOS combination of Arabic numerals and baton hour markers, complemented by elegant tempered blue steel hands<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A recessed small-seconds display at 6 o’clock<\/strong> is accompanied by the distinctive large date aperture<\/strong>, providing useful everyday functionality while maintaining the clean and balanced appearance of the Tangomat.<\/p>\n

Movement<\/h3>\n

This earlier example is powered by the automatic NOMOS manufacture calibre Zeta (\u03b6)<\/strong>, as confirmed by the movement visible through the caseback. The Zeta is an in-house automatic movement featuring NOMOS’s patented date mechanism<\/strong>, stop-seconds and a bidirectional winding rotor.<\/p>\n

The movement measures 31 mm in diameter and 4.3 mm in height<\/strong>, contains 26 jewels<\/strong>, and provides approximately 42 hours of power reserve<\/strong>. Traditional Glash\u00fctte construction and finishing include a three-quarter plate, Glash\u00fctte stopwork, tempered blue screws, Glash\u00fctte ribbing, NOMOS perlage and sunburst decoration<\/strong>. NOMOS also specifies that the Zeta was adjusted in six positions.<\/p>\n

The current version of ref. 602 uses the later DUW 5101<\/strong>, but the movement photograph confirms that this particular watch belongs to the earlier Zeta-equipped generation<\/strong>. NOMOS’s own calibre archive also specifically lists the Tangomat Date ref. 602 among watches fitted with Zeta.<\/p>\n

Bracelet \/ Strap<\/h3>\n

Original NOMOS black leather strap<\/strong> with original NOMOS stainless steel pin buckle<\/strong>. The watch has a 20 mm lug width<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
