Lady-Datejust 26

Rolex Lady-Datejust 26 – Ref. 69173 | Champagne Dial | 1988

The Rolex Lady-Datejust ref. 69173, dating to circa 1988 (R-series), is a quintessential two-tone Rolex combining the classic 26 mm Oyster case with 18kt yellow-gold details. This example features the traditional champagne dial, fluted yellow-gold bezel and two-tone Jubilee bracelet.

Case

The stainless-steel Oyster case measures 26 mm in diameter and is fitted with an 18kt yellow-gold fluted bezel and matching yellow-gold winding crown.

A sapphire crystal protects the dial, with Rolex’s characteristic Cyclops magnifier positioned above the date aperture at 3 o’clock.

Dial

The classic champagne dial features applied yellow-gold baton hour markers and matching yellow-gold hands.

The date is displayed at 3 o’clock beneath the Cyclops magnifier. The champagne finish pairs particularly well with the yellow-gold elements of the case and bracelet, creating one of the most recognizable Lady-Datejust configurations of the period.

Movement

Powered by the automatic Rolex calibre 2135, a chronometer-certified movement specifically developed for Rolex’s smaller Oyster watches.

The calibre features 29 jewels, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers approximately 42 hours of power reserve, together with quick-set date and stop-seconds functionality.

Bracelet

Fitted with the classic two-tone Rolex Jubilee bracelet, combining stainless-steel outer links with yellow-gold centre links.

Condition

Very nice overall vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age. The movement runs accurately. No service history available.
