The Breitling Navitimer 1884 ref. A21350 is a highly distinctive and complicated interpretation of the legendary Navitimer, combining the collection’s iconic aviation slide rule with a chronograph and complete calendar display. Produced as a limited edition of 1,884 pieces, the model takes its name from Breitling’s founding year and stands out as one of the more elaborate Navitimer references of its generation.

Case

Crafted in stainless steel, the substantial case measures 46 mm in diameter and features the characteristic bidirectional rotating slide-rule bezel. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the large case provides the necessary space for the unusually complex calendar and chronograph layout. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres.

Dial

The intricate black dial combines the traditional Navitimer slide-rule scale with multiple calendar and chronograph indications. The watch displays the day and month at 12 o’clock, while the date is indicated by a central hand with a red crescent-shaped tip against a peripheral date scale.

Chronograph indications include a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, while the small-seconds display at 9 o’clock incorporates a 24-hour indication. Despite the considerable amount of information, the layout retains the technical, instrument-like appearance characteristic of the Navitimer.

Movement

Automatic Breitling Calibre 21, based on the proven Valjoux 7751 architecture and adapted for the Navitimer 1884’s chronograph and calendar functions. The movement offers approximately 42 hours of power reserve and provides chronograph, day, date, month and 24-hour indications.

Condition

The watch is in excellent overall condition, showing only minimal signs of wear. The movement runs accurately and all functions operate as intended. No service history available.
