Heuer Camaro – Ref. 7743

The Heuer Camaro ref. 7743 is one of the most distinctive chronographs produced during Heuer’s golden era of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Named after the famous Chevrolet sports car, the Camaro combined a unique cushion-shaped case with clean, motorsport-inspired styling. This particular example features the rare black dial, a highly desirable configuration that perfectly highlights the watch’s understated vintage character.

Case

Crafted in stainless steel, the distinctive cushion-shaped case measures 37 mm in diameter, offering a larger wrist presence than its dimensions suggest. The polished and brushed surfaces, together with the slim bezel and domed acrylic crystal, give the Camaro its unmistakable vintage appeal.

Dial

The rare black dial features a clean bi-compax chronograph layout with matching black subdials, creating a subtle and highly elegant monochromatic appearance. Slim baton hour markers, luminous hands, and a date display at 6 o’clock ensure excellent legibility while preserving the balanced, functional design that defines the Camaro.

Movement

Manual-winding Valjoux 7730, a robust cam-operated chronograph movement based on the Venus 188. Operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, it is renowned for its reliability, straightforward construction, and ease of servicing.

Bracelet / Strap

Fitted with a high-quality brown leather strap and a stainless steel pin buckle.
