Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classique – Ref. 140.019.5

A particularly elegant two-tone interpretation of the classic Reverso, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classique ref. 140.019.5 combines stainless steel with 18kt yellow-gold elements and the unmistakable reversible rectangular case. This version is powered by a quartz movement and features a beautifully restrained silver dial with oversized Arabic numerals. The reference is documented in this gold-and-steel, quartz configuration.

Case

The rectangular reversible case combines stainless steel and 18kt yellow gold, with the gold inner case providing a warm contrast against the steel carrier. The characteristic horizontal gadroons above and below the dial remain one of the defining elements of the Reverso design.

The case measures approximately 23 × 38 mm depending on the measuring convention, with a thickness of around 7 mm.

Dial

The brushed silver dial features large black Arabic numerals, a black chemin-de-fer minute track and elegant dark sword-shaped hands.

The simple two-hand layout is particularly well suited to the compact proportions of the Classique and gives this example the unmistakable Art Deco character associated with the Reverso.

Movement

Powered by a jewelled quartz movement, providing hours and minutes.

Strap

Fitted with its original Jaeger-LeCoultre brown leather strap and original gold-tone Jaeger-LeCoultre pin buckle.

Condition

Very nice overall vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with age. The quartz movement functions correctly.
