Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille – Ref. 270.8.62

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande Taille ref. 270.8.62 is a larger interpretation of the classic hand-wound Reverso, retaining the model’s distinctive Art Deco character while offering more substantial proportions than the traditional Classique. This stainless-steel example features the quintessential silver dial with black Arabic numerals and blued hands, paired with its original leather strap and folding clasp.

Case

The reversible rectangular case is crafted from stainless steel and measures approximately 42 × 26 mm, with a thickness of around 9.5 mm. The characteristic horizontal gadroons above and below the dial frame the classic Reverso architecture.

A sapphire crystal protects the dial. The solid reverse side of the rotating case provides the clean, uninterrupted surface traditionally associated with the Monoface Reverso.

Dial

The silver dial features bold black Arabic numerals, a rectangular chemin-de-fer minute track and elegant blued-steel sword hands.

Unlike the smaller two-hand Reverso Classique, the Grande Taille incorporates a subsidiary seconds display at 6 o’clock, giving the dial greater visual balance while retaining the strong Art Deco character of the collection.

Movement

Powered by the hand-wound Jaeger-LeCoultre calibre 822, a manufacture movement specifically shaped for the rectangular Reverso case.

The calibre 822 has 21 jewels and provides approximately 42–45 hours of power reserve, with indications for hours, minutes and subsidiary seconds.

Strap

Fitted with its original Jaeger-LeCoultre leather strap and original stainless-steel folding clasp.

Condition

Very nice overall condition with light signs of wear. The movement runs accurately. No service history available.
