Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Manual-Winding – Ref. 82172/000G-9383
The Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle ref. 82172/000G-9383 is a classically proportioned hand-wound dress watch that reflects the traditional codes of Geneva watchmaking. Crafted from 18kt white gold, it combines a restrained silver-toned dial, small seconds and an exceptionally slim 38 mm case with Vacheron Constantin’s beautifully finished manufacture calibre 4400 AS.
Case
The round case is crafted from 18kt white gold and measures 38 mm in diameter and approximately 7.77 mm thick, giving the watch particularly elegant proportions.
Characteristic Traditionnelle details include the stepped case profile, fine bezel and traditionally shaped lugs. Sapphire crystals are fitted to both the front and the transparent caseback, allowing the movement to remain fully visible. Factory water resistance is 30 metres / 3 bar.
Dial
The silver-toned dial is deliberately restrained, with applied white-gold baton hour markers, a fine railway minute track and elegant dauphine-style hands.
A recessed small-seconds register at 6 o’clock provides the only additional indication, maintaining the symmetry and classical character of the dial.
Movement
At the heart of the watch is the manually wound Vacheron Constantin manufacture calibre 4400 AS.
The movement measures 28.6 mm × 2.8 mm, comprises 127 components and 21 jewels, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and provides an impressive 65-hour power reserve. Its functions are deliberately traditional: hours, minutes and small seconds.
The calibre 4400 AS is visible through the sapphire caseback and carries the Hallmark of Geneva (Poinçon de Genève), reflecting both its Geneva origin and the demanding standards governing its construction and finishing.
Strap
The ref. 82172/000G-9383 was originally configured with a black alligator leather strap and 18kt white-gold Vacheron Constantin pin buckle.
Condition
Very nice overall condition with light signs of wear. The movement runs accurately. No service history available.
